Between Sunday the 17th of December 2023 and Monday 8 January 2024 – our Cook Strait Ferry service provider will NOT be operating their dedicated, freight only services. All services will be a combination of passenger/ non-commercial vehicles and trucks. This is due to the high demand created by tourists and NZ residents traveling across The Cook Strait for Christmas/ New Year.

We have some exciting news to share with you. On Monday 2nd October we’re updating the PBTOne Customer Portal and our PBT Web eServices will migrate into the PBTOne Customer Portal. This will significantly enhance the way you interact with PBT

Ferry Cancellation - There will be a 24-48 hour delay in inter-island freight deliveries due to this situation. All shipments successfully made their way across last night and this morning, ensuring that Monday's freight movement remains unaffected. Nevertheless, we anticipate delays of up to 24 hours for tonight's inter-island freight, as well as for all subsequent shipments throughout the rest of the week. We will continue to provide you with updates regarding this matter.

Adverse Weather Conditions As a result of the ongoing extreme weather conditions, tonight's ferry sailings have been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and kindly request your understanding and patience. Please be prepared for a delay of 1-2 extra days for the delivery of items between the islands.
